When I download a file, it won’t play and there is an extra .mp3 file extension at the end of the filename. What should I do? Unfortunately, this problem is caused by faulty functionality with the Safari browser. All you need to do is delete the .mp3 from the end of the file name and use the other extension (.aif or .wav). Then the file will play and appear normally. Additionally, you can use a different web browser such as Firefox to bypass this issue completely. We apologize for an inconvenience this may cause.

My production is small, do I still need a license? No matter what size your production is, you must obtain a license to use any of our music. Failure to obtain a license for your production regardless of size is subject to US Copyright laws which provides harsh legal and financial consequences to non-compliant parties. In other words, report your usage and get a license!

Is the Filtered Music Catalog a Buyout Music Catalog? No. We offer “per use” and “blanket” license agreements.

Is the Filtered Music Catalog available under a “Production Blanket” license? Yes. Under a “Production Blanket” license agreement a production can use unlimited music from the Filtered Music Catalog for a fixed fee. The fee determined is based on factors such as: episode length, number of episodes, clearance required, etc.

When do I need to report usage of the Filtered Music Catalog? It is very simple. You must report usage upon using the music in your production. Please send details of the music you used to licensing@ah2music.com.

I need to report usage of your music. Will you send me a license after I report? Please send your usage report to licensing@ah2music.com. We will then issue you a license for the music used, clearance needed, and fees charged, as well as, an invoice. The license is valid after full payment is received by Ah2, LLC..

Can I use your music in my production before it is paid for? If you are an established client who has a relationship with an account manager, all that we require is that a license application be submitted. New clients must be pre-approved for this level of authorization as technically a license is not valid until it is paid in full.

How many times can I use the same recording under a per use license?Only one time. This is the case whether you use it for 1 second or 3 minutes. Each use under a “per-use” license must be paid for separately.

What audio format is available?You have your choice of: 48k AIFF, 320kbps mp3 and 128kbps mp3. All files types are available for download and upon request delivered on a Filtered Hard Drive.

Do I need to contact ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC to obtain a performance license? No. Obtaining a performance license is the responsibility of the broadcaster. This is the case whether it is in the USA or abroad. Any broadcaster that does not have a performance license with the appropriate society or societies will need to obtain a performance license directly from Ah2, LLC.
